FareShare London redistributes surplus food to charities and community groups across the capital, our Community Food Members, who turn it into meals for vulnerable people. We operate from a warehouse in Deptford, South East London, where we sort, store and create orders of surplus food which is then dispatched a variety of different ways to our member charities and community groups across London.
This role is vital to the work of FareShare. You will head out with a FareShare driver to one of our Local Collection Points (LCP). Here food is distributed to charities like community centres, older people’s lunch clubs and nurseries in the local area, in this case (North kensington). This role is flexible: you can choose to travel from Deptford in the van with the driver to the LCP and make the return journey to the warehouse with the van - or you can join the van at the LCP to help unload and distribute the food, and then go home afterwards.
