Food Discussion Facilitator

We are looking for an enthusiastic group facilitator who can encourage an equal distribution of conversation between group participants, stimulate conversation and keep ideas flowing. You do not need to be a cookery guru like Gordon Ramsay, but someone who has a keen interest in sharing cookery ideas.
During the coronavirus pandemic we have overhauled our services and volunteer programme to deliver more activities through Zoom, rather than our traditional face to face support groups. In addition, we will be launching telephone groups to become more socially inclusive though reaching out to more carers who either do not feel comfortable using Zoom, or who do not have internet access.
Food is a topic that is always emotive and in trend. Regardless of the season of the year, or how someone is feeling, these external factors underpin our and food choices, kitchen cookery and recipe ideas. Following the success of some of our Zoom food discussion groups, Carers Network are excited to be launching this new venture.
>Work with the Volunteer Development Officer to come up with an itinerary so that each weekly session has a specific theme
>Create a welcoming atmosphere Facilitate hourly weekly sessions Keep conversation stimulating and encourage all carers to express their ideas Discuss different recipe ideas and how to modify recipes based on carers food choices; such as swapping unhealthier foods for healthier foods, or vegetarian or vegan participants.
