Communications and Marketing Volunteer

Carers Network is looking for a dynamic volunteer to contribute to social media and marketing campaigns. If writing is your passion you could help increase Carers Network’s profile with local print and web media by compiling carers’ case studies and incorporating carers’ voices into Carers Network’s communications, marketing, and social media.
Given the current COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing guidelines, this role will be carried out remotely until further notice.
Join Carers Network to be part of a winning team, cultivate a sense of purpose through raising awareness of a very significant cause, work autonomously with regular support; and develop your research and communication skills.

The role:
Develop Carers Network’s marketing campaigns to further promote Carers Network’s philosophy and strategy
Updating Carer’s Network social media feeds; including Tweets, images, and stories
Writing engaging blogs on a range of subjects to engage with our carers
Updating our leaflets and web content
Recording video blogs to coincide with national and international events; or specific campaigns we are running
Increase our profile through researching press and radio contacts to develop our relationship with local media (print and online) and radio
You may have the opportunity to use Google Analytics to analyse website data if this is an area of your expertise
Capturing carers’ case studies through interviewing carers to contribute to our communications channels
