Support informal adult learning in the libraries of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster. By working with tutors you can help to deliver to groups or to offer targeted one-to-one support. You'll provide support for all learning but primarily for IT, E-learning, literacy, numeracy and ESOL. DBS is required.
For group activities, working alongside a tutor you will:
> Help small groups of adults with basic IT and skills for life sessions; > Prepare spaces and resources for learning; > Complete required paperwork. For individual 1:1 support: > You will be trained and supported to work with individual learners engaged in basic IT and/or functional skills (literacy numeracy and ESOL)
You will be fully trained and able to support those using electronic learning resources including BBC Skills wise.
More general duties will include: > Helping support adult learning at events and as part of promotional activities; > Liaising directly with learners in terms of booking learning places, signposting and general administration.
This project aims to develop the capabilities of the adult learners and so to improve their quality of life. Your contribution will be important and valued!
