We are proud to have been part of RBKC’s Supported Employment Programme since 2022. This initiative offers tailored support to disabled people and those with long-term health conditions, empowering them to take charge of their future and secure the employment opportunities they need to thrive. We’re honoured to contribute to this journey.
To raise awareness of the support mechanisms in place to help young people into paid employment in Kensington and Chelsea, youth-led and local creative media group Base Productions used film to shine a light on the matter. The team, made up of young RBKC residents, including some who are neurodiverse, showcased the stories of five bi-borough residents with SEND who have used local supported employment services Westminster Employment and Balance to find paid work.
These films celebrate individual successes, highlight the power of accessible support, and remind us: You can’t be what you can’t see.
