Housing is one of the most important issues facing our borough, especially for residents in areas that have seen long-term inequality and underinvestment. Now, there’s a chance to influence how things move forward.
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) has just published its draft Housing Strategy for 2025–2030, and they’re asking for feedback from the community.
This isn’t just another consultation. It’s about what kind of homes we want in our borough, how safe and secure they are, and how the Council supports residents and tenants – whether you’re a council tenant, leaseholder, private renter, or trying to get on the housing ladder.
The Draft Strategy Focuses on Three Key Priorities:
- Increasing the supply of diverse housing to support people’s aspirations for a stable home
- Ensuring homes are safe and meet the Decent Homes Standard
- Providing exemplary housing and landlord services
RBKC is asking local people to share their thoughts on these priorities; what’s missing, what needs to improve, and what would actually make a difference on the ground.
We know housing is a huge concern for many of the people we work with, and we encourage everyone to take part, especially those living in areas most affected by poor housing or rising costs.
