We’re happy to share that the Garfield Weston Foundation has awarded £20,000 to support our work at Volunteer Centre Kensington & Chelsea over the next year!
The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest grant-making trusts in the world, supporting charities across the UK with vital funding. Having their backing is not just a financial boost—it’s a recognition of the impact we make in our community. This grant will help us expand our outreach, create new volunteer opportunities, and ensure more people in Kensington and Chelsea can access the support they need.
As part of our application, we submitted a video highlighting the impact of our work—featuring the volunteers, organisations, and community members at the heart of what we do. We believe that the positive, welcoming tone of our communications—especially in the video we submitted—played a role in securing this support. By showcasing the real impact of volunteering, we effectively demonstrated how we make a difference.
While this funding is just one part of our overall budget, it is a valuable contribution that helps sustain our work. We are incredibly grateful to the Garfield Weston Foundation for their support and for recognising the importance of volunteering in strengthening communities.
