Be part of something GREAT this summer! The Great Exhibition Road Festival is returning for 2023 on 17-18 June! And we need amazing volunteers to help make it happen. We are now recruiting volunteers to support The Great Exhibition Road Festival 2023. The Festival is an annual weekend-long celebration of science and the arts, in the spirit of the Great Exhibition of 1851 and will involve Imperial College London, the Natural History Museum and Science Museum, the V&A, the Royal Albert Hall and other galleries, museums, and institutions on Exhibition Road and beyond. The event features hands-on science, workshops, tours, talks, performances and more. It is also completely free and open to all with thousands of people attending each year.
Be part of a friendly team
- Meet and greet festival visitors
- Provide information about the event and timings
- Answer visitors’ questions
- Signpost visitors across the festival site
- Distribute the festival programme and map
- Give travel and other attraction information
- Work in a supportive team alongside your Information Supervisor
What are we looking for?
If you have great communication skills, enjoy working face to face with visitors, and can provide fantastic customer service, join our team in welcoming international and local visitors to this amazing event taking place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2023.
Practical considerations
Volunteers are asked to commit to a full Saturday or Sunday shift (or both) commencing at 10:50-18:30.
Places are limited so get in touch now!
You will be provided with a full briefing, hi vis jacket and promotional materials.
Minimum age: 18
Disabled Access Comments: Outdoor event with step free access to museums.
Expenses: Your meal expenses and travel costs within London (up to £6 each day) can be claimed back as expenses.
Induction: You will receive an on the day briefing including health and safety before your shift starts and written briefing will be shared in advance.
Insurance Cover: Yes
