London Boroughs Faiths Network is working in partnership with the GLA to deliver this new community resilience training course designed for faith communities. It is aimed at staff, trustees, lay leaders and volunteers responsible for community safety and wellbeing, and volunteer coordinators. It is also open to anyone who has a key role in their faith community or at their place of worship.
Course attendees will have access to the latest information, up-to-date advice and guidance on keeping places of worship and local communities safe, secure, and prepared for emergencies.
This in-person course is free of charge and will include sessions led by experts from the emergency services, local authorities, and voluntary sector organisations.
The first two courses have been confirmed for a West London cohort in Kensington and Chelsea and an East London cohort in Tower Hamlets. Participants will be expected to attend all four sessions per course. Provisional session dates (all starting at 5.30pm) are:

Future cohorts will be rolled out in 2024 with the first planned for South London in January/February 2024.
