My name is Monica and I am a Volunteer Advisor with Kensington and Chelsea Volunteer Centre. I have been volunteering for approximately 6 months and this is my first experience as a volunteer.
I am part of a team of volunteer advisors who are front line volunteering champions who every month help hundreds of people from all backgrounds to find the right opportunities.
I am having a wonderful time, meeting new people, learning new skills and the best thing about volunteering for me is that I am able to speak to people from all walks of life, with different life experiences helping them find a volunteering opportunity that suits them and will allow them to flourish by offering their services to others.
I feel so honoured to be able to volunteer and I can truly say that I believe that everyone should volunteer at least once in their lifetime. It is life changing.
