I currently volunteer for Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea, as a Volunteer Advisor, helping their Core services to match volunteers with organisations. I am also a Volunteer Maths Tutor for the Number Champions, teaching maths to primary school kids. I have been in both roles for a year. My experience with both organisations has been great.
I started volunteering because I stopped working in the private sector and wanted to use my free time to give back to my community.
There are so many things I enjoy about volunteering. At VCKC I work with an amazing team and we have different challenges every day. It’s been really rewarding to help people find the right opportunities to volunteer. At Number Champions, it is really rewarding to see how the kids progress with their maths.
