Having always been a creative person, a great deal of my professional life has been spent creating digital artwork, writing scripts, producing radio features, editing video and audio, writing content for social media channels and websites, and finding innovative ways to communicate information.
My love of all things creative led me to a study Journalism, Broadcast Radio, Film and Video Production at university. On completion, I embarked on a journey with the NHS that saw me organising events, managing projects, volunteers and work experience students, and creating a media presence for the trusts I worked for.
I began volunteering with the Volunteer Centre Kensington and Chelsea, alongside my freelance media work, and became a full-time member of staff six months later. My role is to lead on all communications for the charity, making sure the great work we do gets a well-deserved spotlight in the borough and beyond. It’s great helping to connect residents to local opportunities, helping them to realise their full potential through volunteering.
As well as being the Communications Lead, I also manage Mini Comms, a programme that gives young people – from all backgrounds and abilities - the opportunity to gain digital media experience.
