Summer Reading Challenge

Love reading and interested in working with children aged 4 - 11?
Have free time over the summer holidays?

Volunteers are needed to motivate, support and inspire a love of reading in children participating in the Summer Reading Challenge in 5 of the K&C Libraries.

What will you do?
> Register the children ;
> Support the Challengers in their choosing of books;
> Listen to their book reviews and hand out the challenge rewards;
> Help library staff to run popular challenge themed craft activities for children and their families.

So if you want to make a positive contribution to the lives of local children the Libraries and Arts Service look forward to hearing from you!
The minimum time commitment is just twelve sessions of around two hours each for the duration of the Challenge (end of June to middle of September).
The Libraries are Kensington Central, W8; Chelsea, SW3; North Kensington, W11; Brompton, SW5; Notting Hill Gate. W2. Which suits you best?

This will be valuable work experience for yourself and you'll be meeting lots of new people!
