Can you be Dalgarno Trust's friendly face?
They are looking for a cheerful volunteer who can run their reception area and provide visitors with a warm welcome as they arrive.
You will soon be able to give visitors advice regarding services and direct them to the appropriate service workers.
There will also be time for some practical and admin responsibilities such as preparing information packs, photocopying, researching through the internet, helping to keep the cafe and reception areas tidy etc.
But your main role will be to get every visitor's time with Dalgarno off to a good start.
This is a flexible role depending on your availability, giving you the opportunity to volunteer half a day a week right up to five days a week! Dalgarno just asks that you are able to commit to a minimum of one 3:5 hour slot a week.
About Dalgarno Trust
Dalgarno Trust is a dynamic charity that works with the local community members and in partnership with other statutory and voluntary organisations to create a strong, inclusive, vibrant and active community.
It runs a number of projects including Children and Youth projects, Healthy Lifestyle projects, community cohesion projects, regular community events such as the annual Village Street party and supports new and emerging groups and organisations. The Trust also runs its community centre every day of the week, which is home to many other community projects and activities such as supplementary schools, Carnival groups and the African Refugee Project.
The Trust works in North Kensington, the St Charles Ward, specifically in the Dalgarno estates area which is an area of high deprivation and disadvantage.
