Would you like to be part of a plastic free community network? Surfers Against Sewage are looking to recruit volunteers to engage with local businesses and the community in their area.
This role will involve raising awareness among local businesses of the opportunity to become plastic free champions, To get businesses onboard they should agree to carry out a single-use plastic audit of their business and sign up to the campaign.
Once they switch three single use plastic items to more renewable items they can be awarded a certificate and plastic free champion award. This helps the community come closer to becoming a plastic free community.
About Surfers Against Sewage (North Kensington)
In Towns and cities we’re creating the Plastic Free Community network to free where we live from single-use. Together we’re tackling avoidable single-use plastic, from the beach all the way back to the brands and businesses who create it.
On coastlines we're a community dedicated to the protection of oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife.
From humble beginnings in Porthtowan Village Hall in 1990, we’ve stayed close to our roots and continue to be based just up the road at our St Agnes HQ where we can keep an eye on the sea.
