I consider working for Stepping Stones Project at the Volunteer Centre a significant milestone in my career and delighted to be part of such a successful team.
I am a professional psychologist and psychotherapist. Each successful Stepping Stones volunteer placement means so much to me. After over 15 years experience working with vulnerable people in different communities (Romania, Cambodia, UK) I know the extent to which volunteering can have a huge impact on their lives.
I am a qualified trainer; since 2008 I have delivered more than 200 training sessions around Europe, helping people to strengthen their skills and competences to develop new projects, new organisations, become active citizens in their communities and raise awareness around different issues such as Mental Health, Disability, HIV, and Diversity. As a former Chief Executive of a charity in Romania, I have successfully developed projects in partnership with business, supporting them to translate corporate social responsibility vision into impactful work with the local communities through employee supported volunteering.
I am a trustee of Volunteurope Network. As such I am an ambassador for volunteering across Europe, promoting the role and impact of European partnerships in growing and developing local organisations.
