I am an experienced community project manager with a passion for volunteering. I’m a real people person and love working on projects that make a positive difference to the lives of others.
I joined the lovely team at the Volunteer Centre in December 2016 and currently manage the Good Neighbours Project which supports lonely and isolated elderly residents living on the World’s End Estate.
Over the past 10 years I have set up and coordinated a variety of successful community projects which have helped to support the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of society. These projects range from working with young people who were at risk of school exclusion, as well as teenagers caught up in gangs and projects that supported elderly patients who were in the last year of their lives. I have also been the Manager of a Children’s Centre which supported families with children under the age of 5 and I’m a trained Life Coach and I use my coaching skills to train, motivate and support my lovely volunteers.
I know first-hand the joys and benefits of volunteering as I myself love to volunteer and have volunteered for a number of charities including my local Hospice.
